Slat

A slat is one of the narrow, interlocking horizontal aluminium sections that together form the curtain of a roller garage door.

Individual slats can usually be replaced without changing the whole curtain if damaged, which is typically cheaper than repairing a single sectional panel. Uneven slat winding is a common cause of a roller door jamming.
